Tesselaar Tulip Festival is held once every year, during the season when the tulips bloom. Excited us headed there on the very first day it opened and the tulips were nothing short of amazing! However, I think it would be better to head there when the event is about to end as there were tulips that were still undeveloped when we were there. We purchased our tickets at the booth, as shown in the picture below.

There were many tents around selling unique items!

There's an open space for us to enjoy our food and listen to songs originating from Holland too!

Along the way, we saw many pretty flowers in the garden!

We then proceeded to the open field filled with tulips! As mentioned earlier, we probably attended this event too early hence many tulips had not been developed yet! Nonetheless, we were thankful to see a few stretches of tulips blooming beautifully.

You may choose to purchase tickets to get a ride around the field while a tour guide provides more information about the place to you!

 

Do not miss the Tesselaar Tulip Festival if you are in Melbourne in September or October! :) 

If you are a fan of roses and happen to be in Melbourne in November, you might want to visit Victoria State of Roses. I haven't been there before but I'll definitely give it a go if I happen to visit Melbourne during that period of time in future!
